We've been promising a bike switch for awhile now. Sophie's too big for her bike (keep in mind she's as tall as Malynn) and Alison is ready for a bike. I didn't know how ready until Monday when she saw Sophie's bike sitting alone in the culdesac. Alison, who has never been on a bike in her life, let alone pedaled anything, jumped on the bike and she was off! She tends to drive in circles and doesn't watch where she's going, but she figured out the brakes and does really quite well. Dan took Sophie to Walmart last night to get the Cadillac of Barbie bikes. It even has a small plastic bike screwed to the handlebars so any one of the numerous naked Barbies we have can get some old fashioned air conditioning (Weeee!) The best part of all is how thrilled Alison is to get a hand me down. Most of the time there is wailing and gnashing of teeth about the new sparkly thing for everyone who didn't get one. It's nice to have two ecstatic girls.
