Good news. The toilet is fixed. Do you know you can't hardly find the old inner workings of a toilet anymore? No more floating ball and chain. Of course, you have to take the whole tank off of the toilet to refit it all.... or at least, Dan does.
The front door knob is fixed. Not with the new door knob, though. Instead of using the new $130 set, Dan found a fix for $15. It's infortuitous until you realize that my new, computer complicated washer can't get itself off of it's final spin cycle. Cry.
The garbage disposal is still hanging out in the garage while the old one grinds away at itself. Now that Stake Conference is over, the last few things will get fixed. Hooray!
This morning Dan asked me to make cinnamon rolls to have in the Stake offices for all of the early risers. I usually make up cinnamon rolls and orange rolls. My oranges were old and hard. I figured I would just make the whole batch into cinnamon rolls until I remembered I had lemons and blueberries sitting in the fridge. I zested the lemon rinds into a cup of sugar and let that sit while I rolled out the dough. I slathered on the usual butter, spread the lemon flavored sugar over the whole thing, scattered blueberries over the whole thing, rolled it, baked it, frosted it. Voila! It was delicious! Even my avowed blueberry haters (I don't know where they get that from) scarfed them down. Next time, though I will be adding more blueberries.
