It's like our souls are trapped in the camera. All of these things happening and no way to document them on the blog.
Heidi lost her first tooth this morning. It is so stinkin' tiny! And she is so stinkin' cute! Her lithp is even more pronounced now. I just want to catch her up every time she talks and squeeze her tight until the moment is forever ingrained in me.
Since school started, she has been checking her teeth every day religiously, to find the merest wiggle. No joy.
And then.
Last night.
After she opened her water bottle with her teeth........
A wiggle! She came flying down the stairs, "Mom!!! My tooth is wiggling!!!!"
She must have worked it all night with her tongue because this morning while we were getting ready for school she asked me to check it. I gave a little tug and out it popped! Heidi's first lost tooth.
We've gotten away from the glee of the tooth fairy. She's gotten pretty lazy. Her biggest excuse is that she can't walk into the rooms and her contract says she doesn't have to cripple herself tripping over toys or impaling her feet with Barbie's surprisingly sharp hands.
For Heidi, though, the baby, the last first lost tooth, that darling little bit of enamel...
She might even bring out the glitter tonight.
